Ubisoft’s Steep isn’t coming to Nintendo Switch

Steep, the skiing and snowboarding video game that launched for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One at the end of 2016, is no longer coming to Nintendo Switch.

The game’s official Twitter account said development for the Switch stopped in order to support players on existing platforms.

Hey @RJISAGAMER! We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news to share soon.

An Ubisoft representative repeated this in a statement after we asked for clarity on the development choice.

“The Steep team is wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead. We’ll have more exciting news about the live game to share soon.”
