The Original ‘Plants vs Zombies’ Has Been Removed From the App Store

It seems like the theme of the month is classic games getting removed from the App Store for one reason or another. It seems that PopCap’s original Plants vs Zombies is the latest fabulous title to get silently nuked. The “good” news, if you’d call it that, is Plants vs Zombies Free [Free] remains on the App Store, but it’s just an EA-ized iteration of the game that’s packed to the brim with IAP. To be fair, it’s a lot more friendly than some other EA games (*cough* Dungeon Keeper *cough*) but it still sucks to see the original, no-nonsense version of such a great game vanish.

So… Yeah, I guess if you’ve got the original on your phone, either be careful to not delete it or use something like iMazing to back it up somewhere safe.
