Bugs Bunny returns in a new set of Looney Tunes shorts

On Wednesday, Warner Bros. Animation revealed the first slate of completed shorts for Looney Tunes Cartoons, a series thatbrings the classic characters like Porky Pig and Bugs Bunny back to the screen. Audiences at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival got a first peek at the series, which Warner Bros. first announced in June 2018.

One of the shorts that premiered today made it online: “Dynamite Dance,” directed by David Gemmill, which features Bugs Bunny launching a relentless deluge of dynamite on Elmer Fudd. Classic!

Each season of Looney Tunes Cartoons will include 1,000 minutes of novel content to be distributed across multiple platforms including digital, mobile, and broadcast. Each cartoon will run between one and six minutes in length. The series is cartoonist-driven —each episode will be “written” and drawn by the cartoonists themselves, allowing individual personalities and styles to shine through.

The series will feature veteran Looney Tunes voice cast members, including Eric Bauza (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Pepé Le Pew, and Woody Woodpecker), Jeff Bergman (Elmer Fudd, Sylvester the Cat, Foghorn Leghorn), and Bob Bergen (Porky Pig). Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) and Peter Browngardt (Uncle Grandpa) will executive produce.
